Job Description: Child, Youth and Family Therapy providing in home and community settings on an intensive basis (1-3 + times per week). FSGB uses a strength based approach, and engages as many family members as needed, and assists families in identifying and securing additional needs for informal or formal social supports. Developing trusting relationships and assisting families to navigate systemic barriers is essential. Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations, CANS, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, parent support , psycho-education, referrals, linking clients with community supports (formal & informal) and collaboration. Referrals come from various sources, including hospitals, emergency service providers, DCF, self referrals, etc. Requires collaboration skills with public and private organizations on behalf of children, youth and families. Services are often delivered in a team model. FSGB is a Children's Behavioral Health Initiative provider. Full time and Fee for Service positions available. Qualifications: MSW or related Masters Level (i.e. counseling, psychology). LICSW, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT or eligibility preferred. One to two years minimum experience with at risk children, youth and families is necessary. Experience working with trauma, behavior-emotional disorders, substance use/abuse, working with at risk teens, abuse or neglect, poverty and systemic issues ideal; experience working with children diagnosed on the ASD is a plus. | Early Childhood Education Specialist |
Reporting to the Early Childhood Education Supervisor, the Early Childhood Education Specialist will provide on-site consultation, support, and other professional development activities at key collaborating early education and care centers in order to augment their capacity to address classroom management and behavioral issues so they better deal with children who have challenging behaviors thereby increasing children’s capacity to learn. This support will include conducting classroom observations in order to develop strategies for improvement/change; administering environmental and other classroom assessments; providing trainings/workshops for providers; providing support to program directors; and writing all necessary reports. Qualifications: Applicants must have a master’s degree in education, or a closely related field and at least two years of experience in providing early childhood education or related services. A bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of experience in early childhood education or related services may also be considered. | Supervisor- Behavior Management Therapist (Full Time) |
Master's level experienced therapist needed to conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop behavior treatment plans with caregivers to be implemented in child-youth home. Work with behavior management monitor who coaches caregivers in implementation of behavior plan. Provide consultation to caregivers and other providers. BCBA preferred, ABA experience essential, Bilingual (Spanish) preferred and supervisory experience required. Experience working with challenging child-youth behaviors, emotional disorders and work with caregivers required. Service is provided in the home and community. The Center for Behavioral Health’s Strong Start program is a collaborative model that pairs an FSGB clinician with an FSGB educational specialist on site at individual, under-resourced urban early education and care centers to significantly upgrade the centers’ capacity to address the mental health needs of low-income children through clinical assessments, child and family therapy, teacher training and consultation, and parenting skill building.
